Lizzie's Cafe - Lobster Rolls

Ocean City - Rt. 1 and 142nd

Tried Lizzie's Cafe and felt we had to try the lobster roll since that's what they have plastered on the front of the building.  If you are looking for possibly the best lobster roll you've ever had (sorry, I haven't been to Maine), this is the place.  They have 2 varieties, New England and Connecticut.  We tried the New England Lobster Roll which was served cold as opposed to the CT which was warm and had more butter.  It was great, lots of lobster, seasoned perfectly on a buttered, grilled roll.  However, don't go there if you are on a budget.  The Lobster Roll was $37 and was about 6" long.  We got one lobster roll, one garden salad (no meat) and a slice of cornbread (no drinks, just cups of water) and our bill was over $70 for the 2 of us who split everything.  We left pretty full mainly because the salad was large.  On top of the expensive prices, the online ordering (which we were told is the only way to buy something) automatically puts 15% tip on your order (even for pickup).  I'm glad we went and will recover from the financial hit but I doubt we'd go back unless we hit the lotto.
